I just found out that Jackson’s “April Family Project” is to make a Flat Stanley and send him somewhere.
I have been looking forward to this project since Jax was in Kindergarten!
I don’t have the full rules yet but the general idea is that Flat Stanley is a paper dude and we send him to different places. Then the people in those places take pictures of Flat Stanley along the way on his travels. After each trip, Flat Stanley along with his pictures are sent back to us so we can put together the project.
For example, if someone were to send Flat Stanley to us, here in Virginia, we would take pictures of him at Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, and places like that. Basically it’s a great way for kids to learn about other places through Flat Stanley’s travels. They also learn about where their friends and family live!
So let me know if any of you would be up for a visit from Flat Stanley, please!
I haven’t even begun to figure out postage and whatnot, but I’m sure I could send a SASE for Stanley’s (and his pictures) safe return. Digital pictures over e-mail are perfectly fine too.
Thanks in advance for your help!
We will do it!!!
Thanks, Kathy! I was hoping you and Chad would offer. I haven’t gotten the details yet. But I’ll certainly be in touch!
Take care!
